boldo
Purpose: Boldo is an open-source prototype tool designed to bridge the gap between design and development by sharing context between software used in the design process. It aims to provide creative freedom without the complexity of traditional coding.
Key Features:
- Uses Svelte under the hood, enabling simple HTML, CSS, and JS with modern web development tooling.
- Integrates with Figma to avoid redrawing designs and maintain shared context.
- Focuses on easy iteration with a structured repository for prototypes, Figma parsing, components, and editor controls.
Target Audience: Designers and developers looking for a lightweight, code-friendly prototyping tool that syncs with Figma.
Future Goals:
- Expand component library (e.g., ScrollComponent, Gestures).
- Enhance the editor GUI (potentially as an Electron app).
- Improve Figma-to-markup conversion efficiency.
- Split into modular packages (
boldo-editor
,boldo-components
, etc.) and create a CLI tool (npx create-boldo-project
).
